My Credentials
I am an MM Opera Performance major at Oklahoma City University (graduating May 2023), studying in the Dr. Catherine McDaniel studio. In May 2021 I completed a BM in Musical Theater at the same school. Our program trains us both in the classical and contemporary voice. I have performed in operas, musical theatre, choir, and a variety of professional singing jobs around the Oklahoma City area, including St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, Mercy Hospital Gala, Oklahoma City Golf and Country Club, and Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma. I am passionate about the voice and utilizing efficient singing to maximize dexterity, musicality, and quality. The voice is first and foremost a tool for communication and self-expression. Understanding the tools necessary to better navigate our voices improves confidence on and off the stage. I prepare students for musical theatre performances, church solos, all-state auditions, and other personal or professional goals.
I also help students set goals, better understand their voices and build a repertoire of appropriate music for all auditions.
For teenage students, I help them navigate vocal changes and guide them toward building healthy relationships with their evolving voices.
